Inside Asylon Robotics’ Security Technology
Overview
On September 25, 2025, St. John Media partnered with Farotech to produce a collection of marketing content showcasing the autonomous security technology developed by Asylon Robotics.
The goal of the production was to go beyond traditional product photography and create content that demonstrated how Asylon’s technology actually operates in real-world security environments.
Working as a two-person production team, Joey St. John and Kiernan Gallagher spent the day capturing Asylon’s robotic security systems, including its DroneDog robotic ground security platform and aerial drone technology.
Showcasing the Technology
A major component of the project involved producing individual spotlight videos focused on Asylon’s different products and capabilities.
St. John Media captured detailed footage of the technology in operation alongside 360-degree product photography, giving Asylon additional visual assets that could be incorporated into its marketing materials.
Because the technology is designed around more than simply the physical robots themselves, St. John Media also incorporated screen recordings from the drone operator’s interface.
Combining those screen recordings with footage captured in the field allowed the finished videos to move between the physical operation of the robots and the information available to the person overseeing the security system.
The result was a more immersive demonstration of the technology and a clearer explanation of how the different components work together.
Creating a Real-World Security Scenario
One of the most ambitious portions of the production took place after dark.
Rather than relying exclusively on traditional product demonstrations, St. John Media and the Asylon team created a mock robbery/break-in scenario designed to demonstrate how the robotic security technology could be used in an actual security event.
The nighttime environment allowed Joey St. John and Kiernan Gallagher to capture the DroneDog and aerial drone systems responding within a realistic scenario.
By combining cinematic footage of the staged incident with imagery of the robots, aerial surveillance footage, and the operator’s perspective, the production demonstrated the technology through a story rather than simply describing its capabilities.
Creating Content for Multiple Platforms
The production ultimately resulted in several individual product spotlight pieces as well as a larger overall advertisement showcasing Asylon Robotics and its security technology.
The finished content was designed to have multiple uses, including LinkedIn marketing, trade shows and expos, product demonstrations, sales presentations, and broader digital marketing efforts.
For St. John Media, the Asylon Robotics project represents an example of how technical and highly specialized products can be transformed into accessible visual stories.
Rather than simply filming a robot or drone in operation, the production combined commercial cinematography, product photography, screen capture, nighttime production, staged scenarios, and technology-focused storytelling to demonstrate how the entire security ecosystem works together.
The result was content that didn't simply show audiences what Asylon Robotics makes—it helped them understand what the technology can actually do.
